FAQs
Common questions about DeepSound, music library access, DeepDive research, and the information you can uncover while listening.
What is DeepSound?
DeepSound is a macOS music companion that helps you understand the songs in your Music library. It combines playback, metadata, artwork, source-aware song stories, and DeepDive prompts so you can learn more about the music you are listening to.
Does DeepSound replace my music app?
No. DeepSound works alongside the macOS Music app and your existing Music library. It is designed to make listening more informative by adding context, credits, song stories, and research around the track you are playing.
What can I ask with DeepDive?
You can ask questions about the currently playing song, including who played on it, who produced it, where it was recorded, what inspired it, what instruments are featured, and why the track matters.
Where does the research come from?
DeepSound uses source-aware research and music metadata sources to build answers. When information is uncertain, DeepSound is designed to make that clear instead of presenting every detail as confirmed.
Can DeepSound identify every player on every song?
Not always. Credit depth depends on what is publicly documented and available from reliable sources. DeepSound is built to surface what it can find and help you ask better follow-up questions when the details are incomplete.
Does DeepSound analyze Apple Music audio directly?
DeepSound focuses on metadata, playback context, public sources, and research. Protected Apple Music streams are not treated as raw audio analysis inputs.
Will DeepSound be available in the App Store?
The download link will be connected once the app is approved and available through Apple.
