Using deepSound
deepSound is a music companion for playback, song information, automatic Song Story research, and follow-up DeepDive questions. These terms apply to the desktop app and website. By using them, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy.
Accounts
You can create an account with your name, email address, and password, or sign in with Google. Provide accurate information, protect your credentials, and contact us if you suspect unauthorized access. Account creation leads to the desktop downloads page.
Downloads and Music playback
The desktop download page provides signed and notarized installers for Apple Silicon and Intel Macs running macOS 13 or later. Windows is not available yet. The current Mac app works alongside Apple’s Music app. Playback and AirPlay depend on your library, permissions, device, network, and Apple services. deepSound does not supply a music subscription or rights to recordings. Features and permissions may differ by platform.
AI research and voice
When AI generation is enabled, deepSound can research the song playing automatically and answer music-related questions through text or voice. Answers, credits, images, and videos may be incomplete or incorrect. Verify important recording and rights information with authoritative sources. Related videos are not proof of a recording credit. AI features require an internet connection and supporting services.
Credits and purchases
New accounts receive 20 free welcome credits. Credit packs cost $10 for 100 credits or $20 for 220 credits and are purchased through app Settings using Stripe. Fresh Song Stories use 1 credit, Deep Dives use 5 credits, and voice uses 5 credits per minute, prorated. Cached answers do not incur another generation charge. AI features pause when the available balance is insufficient; Music playback remains available. Payment confirmation and the credit balance are verified by our server. Voice and playback controls
On supported Macs, wake detection for “Hello deepSound” runs locally while AI generation and voice listening are enabled. An active voice conversation uses online AI services and may control Music playback when requested. You can turn off AI generation or voice listening and revoke microphone or Speech permissions in your system settings.
Sharing and intellectual property
You choose when and where to share a story, response, artwork, or song link. Share only content you are entitled to share. Recordings, album artwork, videos, trademarks, and other third-party material remain subject to their owners’ rights. deepSound does not grant a license to redistribute music or claim rights to third-party content.
Acceptable use
Do not use deepSound to infringe rights, submit unlawful content, bypass payment or access controls, extract protected music streams, compromise accounts, or disrupt the service. Do not present AI-generated credits or rights statements as independently verified facts.
Third-party services
Music playback, account sign-in, research, embedded video, and hosting depend on third-party services. Their availability and terms may affect your use. Opening or playing third-party content may send information to that provider.
Availability and limitations
We may change features and release updates. deepSound is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, subject to rights and remedies that applicable law does not allow us to exclude. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service or the accuracy of generated research. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
