DeepSound is a macOS music companion for exploring your Music library with richer track context, source-aware research, artwork, and credits. This Privacy Policy explains what information may be collected, how it is used, and the choices available to people who use DeepSound.

Information We Collect

DeepSound may process the following categories of information when you use the app or website:

• Music library metadata you choose to load, such as song title, artist, album, year, genre, duration, and artwork references.
• Research prompts and questions you submit about a song, recording, personnel, credits, or music history.
• Technical information needed to operate the app, such as API requests, error states, device and app environment details, and subscription status.
• Support communications you send to us, including your name, email address, subject, and message.

How We Use Information

We use information collected through DeepSound to:

• Load and display your local Music library inside the macOS app.
• Enrich selected tracks with metadata, artwork, song stories, personnel details, and source-aware research.
• Answer follow-up Deep Dive questions about songs, credits, recordings, artists, producers, and musical context.
• Maintain app reliability, security, subscriptions, support, and product quality.

Music Library Access

DeepSound requests access to your Music library so it can show tracks, artwork, playback details, and related metadata. The app is designed around song metadata and playback control, not uploading your full music library or analyzing protected Apple Music audio streams.

Research and Third-Party Services

Research features may send song metadata and your question to DeepSound services and third-party providers that help retrieve metadata, artwork, public sources, and AI-assisted summaries. Sources may include music databases, public web results, catalog metadata, and AI model providers.

Subscriptions

DeepSound Plus subscription status may be checked through Apple StoreKit and related Apple services. We do not receive your full payment card details from Apple.

How We Share Information

We do not sell personal information. We may share information with service providers that help operate DeepSound, process support requests, provide metadata and research features, maintain infrastructure, or comply with legal obligations.

Data Retention

We retain information only as long as needed to provide DeepSound, maintain security, respond to support requests, comply with legal obligations, and improve the service. Retention periods may vary by data type and operational need.

Your Choices

You control whether to grant Music library access, what song you select, and what questions you ask through Deep Dive. For privacy questions or account-related requests, contact us through the support page.
